In a noteworthy gathering, I accompanied Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, the Executive Governor of Borno State, in celebrating the inaugural Kanem Borno Cultural Summit Colloquium yesterday. This significant event marks the commencement of a series of activities dedicated to honoring Kanem's cultural legacy and signifies a pivotal stride in establishing a lasting rapport between the state and the Ministry of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy.

Later in the day, I had the privilege of a reception by the Shehu Of Borno, His Royal Highness Dr. Abubakar Ibn Umar Garba Al Amin El-Kanemi, to extend felicitations on the initiation of the Kanem Borno Cultural Summit. During our meeting, he graciously presented me with the book titled "1,500 Years of Kanem-Borno Caliphate," authored by Prof. Sani Abubakar Lugga, MFR, FNIM, the 5th Waziri of Katsina and the distinguished keynote speaker of the summit.

Such events play a pivotal role in safeguarding and promoting our cultural heritage. Anticipating ongoing collaboration with Borno State and diverse communities across the nation to further spotlight and celebrate our rich history and traditions.
